Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, aimed at bringing fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Requirements

• ARM A, M series or ARC processor emulator experience
• Knowledge of networking protocols and applications, including TCP/IP
• Embedded software testing tool development
• Experience with FreeRTOS or any real-time operating system
• Expertise with Linux and RTOS
• Strong aptitude in protocol standards such as IPv4, IPv6, Mobile IP, LTE, 802.16e, 802.11b/g/n/ac
• Experience with systems integration and testing methodologies
• Knowledge in network security and software-defined networks
• High-quality Linux-based software development for common processors and microcontrollers
• Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment & monitoring

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing globally available distributed systems for Kuiper
• Building systems using the latest AWS technologies
• Developing tools for software deployment, test execution, and data analysis
• Implementing distributed cloud-based services and APIs
• Partnering with various engineering teams for software simulation and testing
• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering excellence best practices
