Firmware Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

Job Description

Seeking experienced Firmware Engineers to design and develop software for controlling robotics systems in a new automation system aimed at transforming warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Expert level C/C++
• Experience building complex embedded systems

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Integrate and troubleshoot the robotic system with multiple other solutions
• Help build an optimal planner and orchestration for the movement of the system
• Build simulation engines, hardware mocks, and integration tests
• Identify and fix failure modes alongside hardware
• Travel expected for onsite system testing
