Sr. HW Regulatory Compliance Engineer

Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Compliance Engineer experienced in Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to work on innovative wireless products.

Requirements

• Master degree in RF/Microwave Design, Electromagnetics, Antenna, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in wireless regulatory compliance, testing, and certifications
• Experience with various wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, GPS, WWAN, etc.
• Experience in launching mass-produced consumer electronics
• Experience in wireless router certification and homologations for international countries
• Strong leadership skills in driving certification labs and prioritizing testing plans
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to think strategically
• Organizational and project/program management skills

Responsibilities

• Research and specify regulatory and industry compliance requirements
• Plan and direct compliance testing of hardware platforms, devices, and accessories
• Support the design team through product execution to meet regulatory compliance requirements
• Perform detailed research to address regulatory compliance issues
• Deliver concise compliance updates to leadership
• Work with manufacturing partners and labs to ensure in-production devices remain compliant
