Systems Development Engineer, Builder Tools

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented engineer to expand Builder Tools for government customers, operating and engineering cloud systems at a massive scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Experience in tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Investigating and developing new ways to improve operations and defining solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues
• Maintaining the world's most advanced cloud computing infrastructure including Amazon Web Services Builder Tools
• Proactively solving system variances to prevent customer impact
• Root cause analysis of service interdependencies and configurations
• Learning from industry recognized Amazon distinguished engineers
• Designing and building operational scalability for platform growth
