Sr. Software Engineer, EC2 VPC

Job Description

Looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the development of a new EC2 Service critical to scale current and next-generation Machine Learning (ML) and HPC Platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Building software using low level programing language C/C++/Rust
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience
• Experience with developing embedded software/system

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, scoping, implementation, and integration testing of new products and features
• Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation
• Own the team architecture and define best engineering practices
• Identify business problems and opportunities, advocate for technical solutions
• Mentor engineers with scoping, design, and developing scalable and maintainable code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement robust solutions
