Lab Engineer, Kuiper - Plexus Lab

Job Description

Design, set up, and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware, troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues, and contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation in Amazon's Project Kuiper.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable industry experience
• 2+ years of non-internship professional IT experience in test lab support or operational hardware support
• 2+ years experience organizing and maintaining stock of critical test equipment and prototype devices
• 2+ years experience in project management skills including resource planning and managing schedules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, set up, and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues
• Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation
• Drive adoption of best practices in testbed maintainability
• Manage equipment stock and procure lab equipment
• Participate in lab on-call rotation to ensure equipment uptime meets SLA
• Provide lab services to remote workers
• Provide technical support to customers using the lab
