Security Engineer, Kuiper Security

Job Description

Join Project Kuiper to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband network connectivity to underserved communities worldwide with a focus on security and integrity of customer data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years securing software in a production environment
• 2+ years experience delivering software systems in Python, Java, Rust, GoLang or C/C++
• 2+ years experience in delivering for cloud-native environments
• 2+ years experience in delivering software for Linux

Responsibilities

• Establishing product-specific security bar, threat models, and security priorities
• Identifying design & implementation defects
• Supporting product development processes by providing consultation services on difficult security decisions
• Collaborating with business leaders to define security priorities
• Guiding teams towards secure by default solutions
• Mentoring and supporting builder teams in security practices
