Manufacturing Engineer, Project Kuiper

Job Description

The position involves providing manufacturing engineering ownership for multiple mechanisms and assemblies for the Project Kuiper satellite program, focusing on design, testing, and production phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, material science, or related discipline, or relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience in developing and building space mechanical assemblies, or 5+ years of experience with space hardware build and development, or 7+ years of experience in design and manufacturing
• 3+ years of experience in development and implementation of operations control documentation processes
• 1+ years of experience planning and driving process development campaigns

Responsibilities

• Design space hardware production processes and production lines
• Experience with equipment design, procurement, installation, and qualification
• Work with supply chain partners to manage critical vendors
• Material flow planning and manufacturing process definition
• Support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis
• Assembly, Integration, and Test takt time & cost optimization planning
• Design for Manufacturability review and sign off for design release
