Data Center Controls Engineer

Job Description

As a Data Center Controls Engineer, you will troubleshoot, manage projects, and innovate in the data center industry. You will work on building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) using Amazon leadership principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering science plus 5+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments.
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS related issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS and EPMS systems.
• Develop project scope, schedule, and budget for BMS and EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Support commissioning activities in the data centers.
• Manage stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate challenging situations.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
• Frequently visit assigned data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor's work.
