Senior Applied Scientist

Job Description

The Healthcare AI Frontiers group at Microsoft is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to accelerate the discovery and delivery of new and better treatments by bridging groundbreaking AI research with clinical practice in the healthcare industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and/or Machine Learning
• Experience with deep learning in PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras
• Experience with recent CV, NLP & deep learning advancements
• Proficient collaboration and communication skills
• Coding skills in Python, C/C++, C#, Java, Scala
• Experience with production ML/NLP pipelines and products

Responsibilities

• Build 0-1 products from the ground up as a hybrid PM, engineer and researcher
• Rapidly prototype with AI and execute with teammates with velocity
• Drive Healthcare AI agent and model vision, requirements, and guide the team to deliver and drive customer adoption
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and healthcare organizations
• Communicate and articulate complex issues & technologies
• Bring curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion to deliver on the promise of technology
