Senior Software Engineer Manager

Job Description

Microsoft’s Digital Trust & Safety (DigiTS) organization is hiring a Senior Software Engineer Manager to lead a talented group of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts focused on protecting human rights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 4+ years of technical engineering experience
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with data engineering solutions, SQL, data modeling, ETL, real-time pipelines, and analytics platforms
• Professional experience supporting compliance and regulatory reports
• Experience with owning large data sets and developing large-scale distributed backend services using cloud native platforms

Responsibilities

• Guiding the team to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Managing a team to design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting DigiTS services and platforms
• Driving multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with stakeholders
• Acting as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guiding engineers across products
• Improving product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance
