Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer role at Microsoft Security focuses on designing, building, and securing the compute orchestration infrastructure for job execution across various engines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in designing and building solutions using microservices architecture
• Knowledge of security best practices
• 2+ years experience in Spark, KQL, Azure Synapse, Fabric, and Azure Data Explorer

Responsibilities

• Define and design Security Persona Scenarios to create targeted solutions for user personas and security use cases
• Collaborate across teams to drive system and service integration for seamless architecture
• Lead and guide experiments to evaluate new technologies for best-fit solutions
• Build scalable, high-quality solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and meet evolving business needs
• Incorporate operational excellence into the development lifecycle with live site readiness, monitoring, and incident response
• Advocate for engineering best practices and promote continuous improvement in processes
