Software Engineer II

Job Description

Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform (E+P) team is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the AIOps (BRAIN) team dedicated towards making Azure the world’s most reliable cloud through automation and intelligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years software development experience demonstrating feature development in cloud services.
• 2+ years experience in data structures, algorithms, coding and the analysis of algorithmic complexity.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deliver features & quality improvements to improve the Brain experience for all Azure services.
• Work with partner teams to design, implement, integrate pipelines to enable end to end workflows.
• Contribute to debugging, troubleshooting complete stack of a service, and drive analysis of cloud health problems; write software and build automation to resolve problems permanently.
• Review ongoing design, architecture, standards and methods for operating services and systems; assess design and code changes to drive improvements.
• Participate actively in code reviews, bug/issue triage with the feature teams, and support well informed decisions towards business and engineering goals.
