Principal Program Management Manager, Compute Short-Term Planning

Job Description

Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is seeking a high-energy manager to lead the team of short term planners and capacity/demand planners for Standard Compute forecasters, driving cluster deployment decisions to ensure right capacity availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 6+ years experience in relevant fields
• 4+ years people management experience
• 3+ years proven analytical skills in root cause analysis/problem solving
• 2+ years experience with demand forecasting and planning in Cloud and/or high-tech hardware supply chain
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of short term planners and capacity/demand planners
• Develop short term plans for Compute clusters
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure customer capacity availability
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team
• Provide clear forecast and prioritized capacity plan
• Operationalize and drive metrics/business review for Short Term Planning
