Principal Software Engineer

Job Description

Microsoft is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge technologies like Variable Refresh Rate, HDR/Dolby Vision, and more for GPUs and Displays.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of Windows OS architecture, driver models, and memory management or similar experience in other operating systems
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Determine user requirements for scenarios and develop design documents
• Mentor others to produce maintainable code used across products
• Lead cross-product features with stakeholders to drive project plans
• Mentor engineers across products, solutions, and monitor system/product/service for degradation
• Adapt to new trends and drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale
