Principal Software Engineer - MSAI

Job Description

Principal Software Engineer role at Microsoft Search, Assistant and Intelligence (MSAI) team focusing on building M365 Copilot Platform and Chat services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in designing, building, and managing available and distributed large-scale services.
• 8+ years experience with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Service), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), or others.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements software solutions for M365 Copilot Chat and Platform.
• Partners with stakeholders to determine user requirements for complex scenarios in the Copilot ecosystem.
• Provides technical leadership for product design and development.
• Mentors engineers, monitors system performance, and fixes customer-reported problems.
