Principal Technical Program Manager

Job Description

Microsoft Security is seeking a motivated Principal Technical Security Program Manager to join their benchmarking team, contributing to reshaping security and empowering users with end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 8+ years experience in relevant fields
• 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 2+ years evaluating system performance using common industry and custom benchmarks
• 2+ years presenting strategy/product assessments to senior management
• 1+ years using AI across various engineering workflows
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and measure security products effectiveness and performance
• Collaborate with multiple product teams to design and implement repeatable measurements
• Collaborate with data science teams to understand and identify detection gaps
• Be involved in customer conversations to identify opportunities and concerns
• Work directly on security reviews, automation coding, and approval workflows
• Identify top customer pain points in UX and acquire relevant data
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop multi-cloud performance framework
• Act as a technical advisor to educate and evangelize competitive strengths and weaknesses
• Present technical content to all audiences and technical levels
