Senior Technical Program Manager

Job Description

The Azure Core Compute team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact initiatives that shape the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the distributed systems platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of software industry experience working as a technical program manager, product manager or developer
• 1+ year(s) of Agile development methodology - Track record of working closely with development teams
• 1+ year(s) of communication and presentation skills, and ability to speak with influence and impact
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Azure Compute by identifying architectural gaps, scaling challenges, and opportunities for innovation
• Drive the design and delivery of platform-wide initiatives that improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to align technical strategy with customer and business priorities
• Communicate to senior decision makers in a clear and compelling way
• Define targets for key business KPIs, and track and report progress on them
• Help lead and champion a team culture that embraces diversity
