Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

The Azure Holmes team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on the Azure Compute platform, focusing on building fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and drive success across teams
• 1+ year(s) of experience working in distributed systems
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders to determine user requirements for scenarios
• Drives the development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms
• Creates, implements, optimizes, and debugs code to improve performance and maintainability
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers in system monitoring and restoration
