Software Engineering Manager

Job Description

Microsoft Security is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of experienced Red Team malware developers in delivering critical Red Team capabilities and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 1+ year of people management experience leading engineering teams
• 1+ year of experience in Red Teaming, malware development or offensive cyber operations
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers by defining business critical outcomes and supporting the team in achieving them
• Provide technical leadership through engineering contributions, code reviews, and feedback on product strategy
• Learn the needs of the Microsoft Red Team and support the broader Microsoft security organization
• Support the development of the team, ensuring positive skills and career growth
• Set and maintain a team culture of reliable, sustainable, high-quality delivery
