Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Principal Applied Scientist to work on advancing the state-of-the-art in GenAI and impacting core productivity products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience
• 3+ years experience developing and deploying large language models (LLMs)
• 3+ years experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines

Responsibilities

• Lead applied research projects in GenAI
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams
• Serve as a bridge between research and product
• Mentor colleagues and champion research best practices
