Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in distributed systems to help build the next-generation Service Bus platform within the Azure Data engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of software design, development, and architecture experience.
• 4+ years of building commercial grade, robust and scalable solutions in C, C++, C# or any other object-oriented programming.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time data ingestion services supporting millions of messages per second with 99.999% service availability.
• Build highly reliable distributed storage systems with low latency/high throughput using cutting edge technologies like Azure Service Fabric, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, etc.
• Support hundreds of thousands of Azure applications utilizing Azure Service Bus as the backbone for core features.
• Integrate with ecosystems such as IoT applications, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, etc.
• Deliver Azure Service Bus to Azure cloud as well as hybrid environments.
