Software Engineer II-Office Platform

Job Description

As a Software Engineer II on the Office Platform team at Microsoft, you will be responsible for building foundational components that power the Office ecosystem, focusing on Service Delivered Experiences (SDX) and Office.js.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer
• Passionate about building developer platforms and improving developer productivity
• Experience working with API design, SDK development, and developer tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core components of the SDX infrastructure and Office.js API surface
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the Office extensibility platform
• Collaborate with partner teams across Office and Microsoft 365 to ensure consistent developer experience
• Engage with the developer community to gather feedback and drive platform improvements
