Software Engineering Manager, CoreAI

Job Description

Core AI is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Agentic Core Services Team in building cloud-native, distributed platforms for developing and managing agentic applications at scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• 4+ years of people management experience
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience with developer tooling and environments like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD systems
• 4+ years of experience with distributed service architectures and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining SDKs or developer platforms focusing on usability, extensibility, and performance
• Ability to meet security screening requirements
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and asynchronous workflows
• Experience leading engineering teams in building developer-facing platforms or SDKs in distributed systems
• Experience with agent-based systems, workflow engines, or declarative programming models
• Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams
• Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in platform development
• Experience in fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams in AI, Machine Learning, or platform infrastructure domains
• Experience with cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure services

Responsibilities

• Guide partnership with stakeholders to determine user requirements
• Lead and manage software engineers focused on agent services
• Hold high quality and extensibility standards for SDKs
• Identify dependencies and develop design documents for products
• Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code for performance improvement
• Drive project plans, release plans, and work items coordination
• Act as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI)
• Lead product development and scaling to customer requirements
