Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, build, and operate distributed backend services for cloud platforms and product experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years of professional experience designing and developing distributed backend services using microservice architecture in cloud environments
• 1+ year contributing to the development or operation of scalable infrastructure or platform services
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed backend services for Microsoft’s cloud platforms and product experiences
• Develop microservices and infrastructure components that are cloud-native, scalable, secure, and resilient
• Work with modern cloud technologies and service frameworks to deliver high-availability, low-latency services
• Collaborate with partner teams across Microsoft to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence
