Senior Software Engineer - Host Networking & Hardware Acceleration

Job Description

Senior Software Engineer role in the Host Networking and Hardware Acceleration team at Microsoft focusing on Azure host networking infrastructure and NIC software development for AI and other Azure workloads.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, Rust, C++, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience working in low level systems development (Ex. networking, drivers, etc.)
• 1+ year(s) experience in leading projects
• 1+ year(s) technical experience with computer networking, and general cloud technologies
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Determining user requirements for a set of scenarios with stakeholders
• Leading development and identification of dependencies and design documents
• Mentoring others to produce maintainable code used across products
• Driving multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items
• Monitoring system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions
