Job Description

As a Member of Technical Staff - Machine Learning at Microsoft, you will work on creating innovative AI experiences in Copilot by developing new methods, features, and training classifiers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• Experience prompting, evaluating, and working with large language models
• Experience writing production-quality Python code

Responsibilities

• Improve model quality for interactive and agentive experiences in consumer Copilot
• Oversee data acquisition or generation efforts
• Generalize machine learning (ML) solutions into repeatable frameworks
• Lead evaluation efforts of models deployed within Copilot
• Track advances in industry and academia and adapt algorithms to drive innovation
• Independently write efficient, readable, extensible code and model pipelines
• Contribute to defining the model quality roadmap for Copilot
• Commit to a customer-oriented focus and build AI products that delight customers
