Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to work on innovative projects in Microsoft Copilot within the productivity division.

Requirements

• Doctorate (or currently pursuing) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
• Record of publication in top-tier scientific venues
• Experience coding and hands-on experience working with foundation models
• Ability to apply research on a large scale
• Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills in ambiguous environments

Responsibilities

• Defining, leading, and conducting research projects to advance the state-of-the-art and benefit Microsoft’s core productivity products
• Collaborating with various roles including researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers
• Teaching and guiding colleagues in state-of-the-art techniques
• Sharing research through publications and communication with product leaders
