Job Description

Microsoft's Growth and Data Science team in the Developer Division is seeking Principal Data Scientists to deliver insights, models, and tools that guide product strategy and unlock growth across the developer ecosystem.

Requirements

• Doctorate or Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of data science experience
• Experience leading data science and analytics projects
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments and causal inference studies
• Ability to meet security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead high-leverage data science and analytics opportunities
• Shape organizational strategy and technical direction
• Drive alignment across executives and stakeholders
• Establish metrics, experiments, and causal inference approaches
