Job Description

Join the Azure Edge Infrastructure team at Microsoft as a Software Engineer II to work on cutting-edge distributed systems development for the next generation Hyper-Converged Cloud Platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience working with distributed cloud environments and any of the following cloud technologies: networking, storage, or security
• 2+ years of experience designing or developing distributed systems, APIs, or microservices
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Working as a team member, designing distributed, scalable services and implementing highly reliable multi-threaded features
• Ownership of the software engineering process from design, development, code review, validation, delivery, and maintenance
• Optimizing performance, and rapidly solving problems
• Writing tests and ensuring high ship quality
