Principal Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, you will design and deliver systems to support internal engineer access to manage the OneDrive and SharePoint service at global scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, or Java OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience with telemetry and observability standards such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Parquet, Loki, or the Microsoft Observability platform
• 6+ years of experience with distributed systems, performance analysis, databases, and/or large-scale data processing
• 4+ years of experience with access control with authentication and authorization
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver systems to support internal engineer access to manage the OneDrive and SharePoint service at a global scale
• Ensure principles of least privilege in system design
• Deliver solutions to rapidly meet changing regulatory requirements for engineer access to services
• Collaborate with teams to deliver large scale, distributed architectures and features
