Job Description

Microsoft AI is seeking a talented backend engineer to contribute to the development of personalized AI assistant Copilot. The role involves building secure APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience building mobile app backend applications
• Experience coding in languages such as C#, Python, Rust, Java, Golang, Ruby
• Experience building backend APIs for mobile apps using GraphQL/Rest APIs/Protobuf/Thrift
• Experience with streaming protocols like websocket/SSE/WebRTC
• Experience building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Extensive knowledge of building distributed systems at scale

Responsibilities

• Build secure and performant APIs for Copilot apps
• Collaborate with product engineers, Product Managers, and platform engineers
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Overcome roadblocks to deliver work iteratively
• Work in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle
