Job Description

The Vice President of Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York is responsible for developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining software solutions for the firm's global businesses.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with 3 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 5 years of experience
• Experience with C++ or Java, full software development lifecycle, multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented enterprise applications, programming technologies like Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka, RDBMS such as Sybase or Oracle, micro-services architecture design, and database query languages including SQL or NoSQL

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing high-quality, scalable technology solutions
• Managing requirements gathering, testing, and deployment
• Identifying new external technologies for innovative business transformation
• Working across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Developing and maintaining robust testing suites
• Providing training and guidance to junior team members
