Data Center Structural Engineer, AWS DC Design Engineering

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure to ensure continuous access to innovation for customers.

Requirements

• US Citizenship Required
• ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
• 2+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects
• Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC and ASCE
• Detailed understanding of seismic analysis and design, tilt-up and precast concrete structures, structural steel systems, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design resilient, cost-effective Data Center facilities
• Achieve world-class uptime for customers
• Provide technical guidance, review milestone drawings, solve implementation issues
• Contribute to the design of prototypical DC facilities
