Job Description

The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, Shift Engineer position at Amazon involves ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center to maintain high reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance
• Perform limited maintenance tasks like filter changes and battery system PMs
• Assist in root cause analysis for operational issues
• Perform first level troubleshooting for facility and rack level events
• Ensure proper safety methodology is utilized by all personnel on site
• Take daily operational readings and provide to Senior Engineers for metrics reporting
• Perform basic support concepts like ticketing systems and task prioritization
