SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER PE- FEDERAL FACILITY PROJECT WORK

Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in facility design for United States Government and federal agency projects. The role involves approximately 30% travel for project-related work, including site visits and client collaboration.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project work)
• Minimum 12 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federal government/agency projects
• Proven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. (multiple state licenses preferred)
• Exceptional communication skills related to presentations, speaking, and written work

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design teams and mentor junior staff
• Design a variety of facilities focused on industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors
• Take a leadership role in project lifecycle, including budget development, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation
• Engage in business development and client relationship building within federal, state, and local government sectors
• Ensure compliance with federal and industry standards
• Undertake travel related to project work that may require overnight stays away from home
