Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, Drive Inverter

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Mechanical Engineer to join the Drive Inverter design team and push power electronics designs to their limits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years of related industry experience
• Deep understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency using 3D mechanical design tools
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes
• Working knowledge of Matlab and/or Python

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical packaged semiconductor components and assemblies
• Conduct mechanical design analysis
• Solve electronics packaging issues
• Develop engineering test plans
• Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
