Sr. Quality Engineer, Battery Remanufacturing

Job Description

Join the Buffalo Battery Remanufacturing team to support Model SX and 3Y remanufacturing lines, focusing on electric vehicle battery systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experiences
• 7 years of experiences in quality or other disciplines in high volume manufacturing is preferred
• Experience managing a technical team or other professional leadership experience
• Experience conducting PFMEAs for production processes
• Experience in ISO-9001, QS-9000, ISO/TS/IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP is a plus
• Experience with 6-Sigma and quality problem-solving methods
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Minitab (or similar) is a plus
• Experience with measurement and inspection techniques
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain PFMEAs to determine potential risks in manufacturing process
• Establish and maintain Control Plans for critical features
• Develop and implement Quality Key Points for visual inspection
• Lead development and improvement efforts of the Quality Management System
• Review and provide disposition to non-conforming material
• Lead sorting activity and drive part improvement with suppliers
• Track quality performance metrics and organize regular reviews
• Manage and develop team of quality technicians
