Job Description

Elanco is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to develop and deploy automation solutions using SAP BTP and other tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort in farm animal and pet health processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing automation solutions using modern programmatic techniques
  • Expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and developing solutions within the SAP ecosystem
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for integration with enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms like Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, and DevSecOps concepts
  • Understanding of Model Context Protocol and automation services
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure process automations using standard suite of tools
  • Conduct testing and debugging to ensure reliability and readiness for production
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and implement enhancements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all automation solutions
  • Implement solutions following architectural patterns and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate architectural designs into functional code
  • Monitor performance of live automations and identify opportunities for improvement
