Electrical Design Engineer-High Power (E)

Job Description

KLA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Central Engineering Group in Ann Arbor. The engineer leads the designing, detailing, and testing of new electrical sub-systems for the next generation of KLA tools.

Requirements

• High-power design experience (>200V, >100A)
• Experience with 3-phase circuit design
• Proficiency in PLC programming
• Knowledge of communication protocols
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and LabVIEW
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD
• Hands-on diagnostic experience with complex electrical subsystems
• Passion for working on groundbreaking technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in Intrinsic Safety design is a plus
• Travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Design electrical parts, modules, and subsystems
• Lead the entire design process
• Conduct various analyses
• Perform thermal/cooling analysis and control
• Program PLCs
• Create conceptual and detailed designs using tools like AutoCAD
• Procure prototype parts, test prototype assemblies, integrate into systems
• Develop supporting documentation
• Collaborate with other engineering groups
• Partner with suppliers
