FPGA Design Engineer

Job Description

KLA is seeking a talented and motivated senior engineer to work within the Electrical Engineering group, focusing on cutting-edge technology in the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

• Hands on experience with complex FPGA firmware designs
• Proficiency in FPGA simulation tools such as VCS, Modelsim or equivalent
• Proficiency in FPGA design tools such as Vivado or equivalent
• Proficiency in Hardware description language such as Verilog or System Verilog
• Solid knowledge of various protocols to interface different peripherals: PCIe, Aurora, DDR4, 10G, SPI, I2C, etc.
• Solid Knowledge of networking and Embedded Linux build systems
• Motivated, self-driven, independent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design test benches for simulation, timing analysis/closure, FPGA functionality verification
• Design, implement, and debug FPGAs and firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems
• Collaborate with hardware and embedded software engineers
• Define FPGA Firmware requirement specifications and develop design projects
• Write technical documentation
• Work with other engineering groups to ensure flawless integration and testing
