Regional Applications Development Engineer

Job Description

KLA is looking for a research scientist to provide applications development support to their products with a focus on semiconductor manufacturing.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields
• Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Self-driven and a strong team player
• Programming and scripting skills in MATLAB or Python are a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop test cases, characterize new products, and demonstrate metrology relevance to customer yield issues
• Provide technical support in the development and implementation of customer applications
• Deliver product demonstrations to customers and assess potential applications
• Work towards tool/algorithm performance characterization and provide feedback for product improvement
• Understand customer requirements, provide root cause analysis, and offer potential solutions
• Travel requirement of >50%
