Job Description

The Project Engineer, New Product Introduction role at Tesla involves supporting the development of new processes, managing trials, and ensuring product quality in the LFP Cell Manufacturing at the Nevada Gigafactory.

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn systems quickly
• Experience with structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W) or Eight Disciplines (8D)
• Experience with data collection, visualization, and analysis tools
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing line trials for new products and processes
• Manage trial preparation, reporting, and recovery
• Become an expert level trainer on machines in assigned areas
• Manage quality assurance and procedures
• Drive project & program milestones and success criteria
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Develop and deploy operations playbook
• Lead, guide, and mentor junior team members
