Software Design Engineer II

Job Description

Microsoft is looking for a Software Engineer II to contribute to the Azure Edge team and work on extending Azure's capabilities to the customer edge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Golang OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in site-reliability engineering/DRI practices to manage, support and debug production service.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Azure Local product vision by creating and implementing code for features with a focus on diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Review code of feature development to meet quality standards and participate in code reviews.
• Build knowledge and share new ideas to improve software developer tools and contribute to automation within production and deployment of complex product features.
• Maintain communication with key partners across teams to drive desirable user experiences through product development and integrate telemetry for gathering data on system behavior.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor service status and respond to issues within SLA timeframe.
