Senior Optical Engineer (E)

Job Description

The senior optical engineer at KLA will support current projects and work on future generation products, focusing on optical modeling, image simulation, light sources, optical testing, and more.

Requirements

• Doctorate or work experience of 2 years, Master's Level Degree or work experience of 4 years, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
• Proficient level in Matlab or equivalent
• Proficient in ZeMax
• Working knowledge of optical fundamentals (ray tracing, stray light, aberrations, diffraction)
• Able to run a tolerance analysis
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
• Able to work effectively in a team and deliver finished work products to a schedule
• Able to perform an experimental error budget analysis

Responsibilities

• Support current projects and future generation products
• Model optical systems and phenomena
• Create laboratory experiments for root cause analysis
• Work on the overall error budget for the optical system
• Broaden skills in optical modeling, image simulation, light sources, and more
