Senior Data Scientist, ASE iCloud Data Organization [Product]

Job Description

The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) organization is looking for a data science professional to partner with business and product teams to leverage data for decision-making and strategy development.

Requirements

• 6+ years in a data analytics or data science role (4+ years in a data science role)
• Experience in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Scala)
• Good verbal and written communications skills to communicate technical concepts to senior executives
• Ability to analyze data using statistical techniques and tools like Tableau, Superset, ggplot
• Experience with massive and complex datasets using tools like Hive, Spark, Druid
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Physics, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analyses and use statistical techniques to identify key areas of opportunity
• Craft narratives for iCloud performance by identifying key insights and developing scalable approaches for summarizing results
• Collaborate with partners and Data Engineering to define metrics and instrumentation for data measurement
• Plan, design, and analyze A/B tests or experiment results
• Build models to forecast growth and capacity requirements
