Wireless Network Reliability Engineer

Job Description

As a Wireless Network Reliability Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for designing and implementing wireless infrastructure across Apple Retail Stores.

Requirements

• Expertise in wireless solutions, including IEEE 802.11 standards, encryption, WIDS, rogue detection, 802.1x, RADIUS, and EAP-TLS
• Experienced in high-density wireless network deployments
• Familiar with various wireless technologies from Cisco, Aruba, Mist Wireless, Meraki Wireless, and more
• Proficient with wireless tools such as Spectrum Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, RF Planning tools, and Site Survey Tools
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), routing, and switching
• Knowledgeable in wireless client chipset/driver and RF engineering with consideration of regional frequency and power regulations

Responsibilities

• Solving, designing, and implementing wireless infrastructure across Apple Retail Stores
• Collaborating with vendors, Engineering, and Architecture to address complex networking challenges
• Evaluating new technologies and driving innovation
• Being a Tier 3 escalation point for networking challenges
• Fostering a collaborative spirit and focusing on operational excellence
