The Camera team at Apple is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the mechanical design of high-volume camera depth modules like FaceID and Lidar for iPhone.
Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
2+ years of CAD experience
Experience with GD&T design
Experience with dimensional tolerance analysis
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
Responsibilities
Own and drive all mechanical aspects of a camera depth module from concept to mass production
Create CAD design, 2D drawings, and tolerance analysis for components and assemblies
Engage with overseas mechanical vendors, review DFM feedback, and approve inspection reports
Analyze dimensional data during the NPI cycle to identify trends and areas of concern
Collaborate with various teams to design, develop, manufacture, and test depth-sensing modules for Apple products
Present designs and data to cross-functional teams
