Sr. Systems Design Engineer (Semiconductor/Capital Equipment)

Job Description

The Product Development Engineer will work within the Broadband Plasma products at KLA, focusing on requirements analysis, system design, and testing of complex inspection systems.

Requirements

• Strong background in engineering or physical science
• Understanding of Optical, Electromechanical, and Software systems
• Experience with scientific and statistical analysis tools
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
• Strong skills in system calibration and troubleshooting in optics and motion control systems
• Effective communicator and leader

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and subsystem requirements
• Model and budget system and subsystem performance
• Create and execute test plans, validate system performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and subsystem issues
• Lead integration, development, and escalations
• Support internal and external customers in implementing processes
• Occasional travel required
