Silicon Prototyping Engineer

Job Description

Apple is hiring a prototyping engineer to work on emulating complex SOC, collaborating with design teams, and developing prototyping plans and specifications.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Understanding of CPU & SOC architecture/design
• Experience in digital logic design, Verilog, SystemVerilog, test-benches, simulation, and debug
• Experience in scripting/programming (Unix, Python, C/C++)
• Experience with FPGA is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and enthusiastic team player
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the team on prototyping plans and specifications
• Collaborate with design & micro-architecture teams to understand design goals
• Work on Synthesis / Place & Route, timing optimization, and custom hardware development
• Manage deliverables to align with project goals
• Support cross-functional engineering efforts
